Our Story & Programs.
From Soleful to Kindles4Covid and ArtKits4Kids to Leadership Programs, ByKids4Kids featured programs are designed to enhance growth in our children, foster community support, & promote sustainability/eco-friendliness.
ByKids4Kids is a grassroots, nonprofit organization started by a few youth to help other youth. With the support of our community, we have raised money, donated to local initiatives, and funded programs of our own. Our organization is constantly looking for new opportunities to make the world a better place.

Kindles4Covid
What is Kindles4Covid?
At ByKids4Kids we believe in community connectedness above all else. During this global pandemic, we aspire to keep that connection alive by distributing technology care packages to our community partners -- our goal is to enable learning, literacy , and build virtual reading buddy relationships with our Kindles4Covid project.
How?
Youth were paired with a Virtual Buddy. To make sure everyone had the same books, Peace First assisted in funding KindleFoxFires. The Kindles allowed-kids to download free books from the public library. The Virtual Buddies
Kindle Kingdom
What is Kindle Kingdom?
Kindle Kingdom is a reading-buddy style program that implements e-reader technology and paper books while connecting youth throughout Washtenaw county.
Why Kindles?
We use Kindles to reduce the impact on the environment, expose children to technology, and compile a large library of books to engage a wide range of young readers.

With a reading-buddy style program, we hope to foster student-volunteer friendships while improving academic achievement
Goals
We believe there’s no limit to what youth can achieve, which is why we’ve set some BIG goals for ourselves in the coming year.
Our Kindle Kingdom program will enhance children’s reading skills and encourage volunteerism. Through our current work and research, we have found that 100% of students who were tested in this program demonstrate increased academic achievement.
We also found that our Kindles4Covid program enabled connectedness 100% of youth surveyed made friendships and
81% of the youth increased the amount they read.

What is SoleFul?
Project SoleFul aims to keep shoes out of landfills and on the feet of children who need them. We host several used-shoe drives throughout the year, with all pairs sent and donated to various organizations.
What is the purpose of this project?
Our mission: No child left without a sole.
Where do the shoes go?
Shoes find their new home on the feet of orphans and students in Little Stars Orphanage and School in Varanasi, India. Little Stars hosts young girls and educates local youth. Locally,we partnered with Michigan Foster Care Closet of Michigan. The organization operates to support the needs of local foster and adoptive families.
Happy Feet
We have had the opportunity to run several shoe drives across the Ann Arbor area. To date, we have collected over 1,500 pairs of shoes at St. Francis school & Liberty Athletic Club.
